
World Oceans Day Stamps
Monaco – June 8, 2013
At the occasion of World Oceans Day, a series of four stamps will be issued by the Monaco Stamp Issuing Office (OETP) in collaboration with the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco.
In each of these stamps, freediver Pierre Frolla is diving with a different species of shark. The purpose is to show a peaceful interaction between man and the feared predator. Hence, it is hoped that these stamps will also aid to improve the image of this wrongly maligned predator.
